Are cigars just as bad for your health as cigarettes? or are they better?
Cigars aren't as bad as cigarettes, however the smoke from a cigarette is still harmful, and keeping the smoke in your mouth with increase the risk of mouth cancer.
What effect does the actual paper of the cigarette (seeing as it is coated in bleach) have on the body?
The paper itself is coated with bleach, which is highly toxic. Inhaling bleached paper alone is unhealthy.
Would the tobacco plant itself be as harmful if it were not a gmo? as in earlier use of the plant, is it worse today than it was back then?
If the plant were not a product of genetic modification it would be much less harmful, however it is mostly the pesticides used nowadays that makes the plant harmful, as well as the smoke when inhaled or held in the mouth.
Are e-cigarettes a good alternative?
The research on e-cigarettes aren't even complete. The current research leads us to believe that e-cigarettes may be just as harmful.
How many different ways can cigarettes cause, or be linked to causing deaths?
The most common way to develop lung cancer or mouth cancer is through a cigarette. Cigarettes can be linked to many deaths as well.
Does second-hand smoking have the same effects as being the smoker?
Second-hand smoke is actually more harmful than the smoke before it is breathed out. The smoke becomes more radioactive in the air and is inhaled by those who may want nothing to do with cigarettes. The effects are especially harmful to children.
Which poison in your opinion is the worst in cigarettes?
cyanide
If nicotine was not in a cigarette, would people still smoke?
I think some people may still smoke just to strive for uniqueness or to look as if they don't care. However the addictive properties would not be present anymore so their bodies wouldn't crave it.
If you could limit cigarettes, would you?
No I believe that people need to be able to make their own choices.
